Today I’m answering a few frequently asked questions about both Celluma Light Therapy and the Acupuncture Glow Facial.

FAQs:

Can I add the Celluma Light to one cosmetic treatment, instead of signing up for a full series of 10 treatments?

Yes! You can add the Celluma Light to a single Acupuncture Glow Facial treatment, or to a follow-up (maintenance) cosmetic acupuncture treatment.

You can still get benefits from light therapy in a single treatment.

How does Celluma work together with cosmetic acupuncture?

The goal of cosmetic acupuncture is to create tiny microtraumas in the dermis of the skin. The body’s natural healing response is to bring protein to damaged areas, which includes collagen.

The Celluma speeds up the process of skin healing and collagen production.

So in a nutshell, the goal is for Celluma to make your cosmetic treatment even more effective.

Does the Celluma add extra time to the treatment?

Nope! The Celluma Light is set over the face while you’re resting with cosmetic acupuncture points in the face. No extra time is added to your treatment – just extra benefits!

The Acupuncture Glow Facial is 90 minutes.

What’s the Acupuncture Glow Facial?

It’s our signature, standalone cosmetic treatment created to help smooth the skin, reduce facial puffiness, and give you a healthy, well-rested glow.

  • – Body acupuncture to balance overall health (hormone imbalance, stress, digestion, etc.)
  • – Cosmetic acupuncture
  • – 10 minutes of cooling gua sha facial massage to sculpt and smooth the face
  • – Moisturizing hydrojelly mask tailored to your skincare needs

Plus now you can add Celluma Light Therapy for an added boost!

Please note – This is not a traditional facial and does not include steaming, extractions, etc.

What is a hydrojelly face mask? (The last step in the Acupuncture Glow Facial.)

Made from herbs and electrolytes like potassium, magnesium and sodium, these masks balance the skin and help heal its moisture barrier. All natural, organic, free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, talc and corn starch. Masks can be mixed and matched to create a custom formula for each patient.

  • – Antioxidant Goji Hydrojelly Mask: Antioxidant and hydrating, for all skin types.
  • – Lotus & Ginseng Hydrojelly Mask: Firming and hydrating, for fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.
  • – Gotu Kola Hydrojelly Mask: Healing and balancing, for acne and acne scarring.
  • – Hyaluronic Acid Hydrojelly Mask: Ultra hydrating, for all skin types.

What is gua sha facial massage? (Also part of the Acupuncture Glow Facial.)

Gua sha is a smooth, carved stone tool used to massage the face. Typically gua sha tools are made of jade, rose quartz or amethyst. Gua sha facial massage is incredibly relaxing and soothing. The purpose of gua sha is to improve circulation in the skin and help move lymph to reduce puffiness and give the skin a healthy glow!

I’ve read that cosmetic acupuncture requires multiple treatments. Can I sign up for just one Acupuncture Glow Facial?

Yes, you can sign up for a single Acupuncture Glow Facial. Traditionally, a series of ten cosmetic acupuncture treatments is recommended to get long-lasting results.

However, you can still see a positive change in the skin, especially overall brightness and hydration, with a single cosmetic acupuncture treatment such as the Acupuncture Glow Facial.

For example, we commonly have patients who come once a month for this facial, to help maintain the firmness and softness of their skin.
